Our products are developed inside working contracting operations and used daily on live projects. That is not a marketing line, it is the constraint we work under: if a storekeeper, a driver or a site engineer will not use it on a bad Tuesday, it does not ship. Construction software usually fails because it was designed for the person who reads reports rather than the person who makes the record. We start at the other end.
Nobody should type a progress report. The records a team already makes — a goods receipt, an inspection, a stamp on a zone — are the status. What you see is what is true, because nothing else produced it.
Out-of-order work is refused, not reminded about. A gate that can be talked past is not a gate, and the person who has to enforce it by chasing people is doing the software's job.
