For contractors building Saudi’s skylines

Muthari OS · the Project Operating System for Specialist Contractors

A specialist contractor on a Saudi project works as a package under a main contractor, answers to a consultant through submittals, MIRs and WIRs, and bills through a payment application that must survive scrutiny. Muthari OS is one system where that package runs from award to handover: the submittal and drawing register with revisions, comments and response ages; purchase orders and goods receipts that write the stock; factory stages with QC before dispatch; delivery notes with a QR on every zone; daily installation records; material and work inspections with verdicts and photos stamped with name and time; and progress claims built from what was actually done, carrying their own evidence. It is built for contractors who fabricate what they install — façade, aluminium, glass, steel, joinery — and was developed inside working contracting operations in the GCC. Demos can be held in Arabic on request.

The consultant’s document culture, on the record

Every submittal, sample, method statement and drawing revision is appended, never overwritten, with who raised it, when, and how long the response has taken. MIRs and WIRs are raised per zone with their verdicts; a rejection rolls the zone back and reopens the inspection. Handover cannot be stamped until inspections are approved.

Packages under a main contractor

Gigaproject and tower packages arrive as a BOQ broken into zones — elevations, levels, grid lines, rooms — labelled the way your team already speaks. Each zone carries its drawing, material, production stage, delivery, installation and inspection record, and the Command Center shows every project worst first, with the age of every stall.

Factory and site, one chain

Zones cannot enter production without an approved drawing and issued material. QC before dispatch. A QR on every zone that ships; a scan on site opens its whole history. Site receipt records the receiver’s name from the POD. Installation is recorded daily against quantities the system will not let you exceed.

Claims that survive the QS

An approved budget gates the first claim. Previous quantities are derived from the last certified invoice, so double-claiming is structurally impossible. Variations are caught when zones exceed the BOQ, before you install them for free. Whole company, flat price: $1,390/month Growth · $2,490/month Command, flat per company, no per-user fees.

Honest limits: The interface is English today; demos can be held in Arabic, the product cannot. Muthari is not an ERP — invoicing, tax and accounts stay in your accounting system, and it runs beside it with no automatic link. It is not planning software (the programme stays in P6) and not design software. There are no ITPs, inspection checklists or hold points as structured records; an inspection is a verdict with remarks and photos. It needs a connection on site.

Also: the UAE

The same system runs packages in Dubai and the wider UAE, where the fit-out and façade markets share the consultant-driven document culture.

The same operational chain runs every specialist trade — a factory and a site against one contract. Why specialist contractors need a different model, and what construction operations software is. For the broader category, see construction project management software.
